Jim Garrison was convinced that Kerry Thornley was the second Oswald. Here is a memo regarding an interview with yet another felon about Oswald and Ruby. You can see the Garrison notations throughout the document, and right at the top right of the first page, there is checkmark next to Thornley.
Clay Shaw s maid, Virginia Johnson, worked for him for eight years. Did she perhaps know that he was Clay Bertrand? Did she see mail at Shaw s residence addressed to Clay Bertrand?James DiEugenio, in his book Destiny Betrayed, writes that "Virginia Johnson had been Shaw s maid for several years, until 1965.
So, there you have it. Ferrie and Oswald were very briefly in CAP together. It s not unusual for a teacher, eight years later, to forget a student who only attended a few classes.
This was all known before the picture above was shown on PBS Frontline in 1993. Conspiracy authors try to make this all into something far bigger than it was. Here is a headline in Probe Magazine from July-August 1998.
But, the witnesses quoted in the article don t really deviate from what Ferrie said in 1963. For instance, Jerry Paradis said that he does not know of any relationship between Ferrie and Oswald other than their contact at CAP meetings, and recalls that there was nothing unusual about their relationship there. Paradis couldn t say how many times Oswald was at CAP meetings but that he would guess at least ten or fifteen meetings. He also added that I am not saying that they may have been there together.
The FBI transcribed the tape that D avy gave them. Here is the transcription:
He says in the tape that his lie detector test came out negative. But, given D avy s mental state, I cannot tell if he means he passed or failed the test.
The FBI then searched their files for information on D avy. And, they found an interesting tidbit:
Leander D avy was interviewed by Belford Lawson and Jack Moriarty of the HSCA on June 23, 1977 in Washington. It appears that D avy just showed up:
I have the full 33-page transcript, but I ll be only be posting excerpts here.
D avy recounts his meeting of Oswald in 1962 - of course, we know this is impossible because Oswald is living in Dallas. He had earlier told Garrison 1963. But, he then starts to tell the story of going into the Court two weeks before the assassination:
Right at the end of the Clay Shaw trial, two surprise witnesses came forward for the prosecution. Nicholas and Mathilda Tadin took the stand on February 27, 1969. They had just come forward that very day with their story.

They testified that their oldest son, who was sixteen in 1964, took flying lessons from David Ferrie. They claimed to have seen Ferrie at the airport with Clay Shaw. Here is some testimony from Nicholas Tadin:
Note the dialogue - Tadin says when seeing Clay Shaw - Oh, Christ, look at this. His wife replied, what is the matter? And, Mr. Tadin then said, Clay Shaw over there. As Vincent Bugliosi notes in his book,
