Jammu (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], May 13 (ANI): Twenty-six new oxygen generation plants were set up with a total capacity of 25,000 litres per minute in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir recently as part of government efforts to increase oxygen supply in hospitals here, said Financial Commissioner of Jammu and Kashmir s Health and Medical Education Department Atal Dulloo on Thursday. In the last few days, 26 new oxygen generation plants were set up in the union territory. Before this, we had 21 oxygen generation plants with a capacity of 14,000 litres per minute, said Atal Dulloo.

1496 test positive, 1070 recover

JAMMU, May 10: Surge continued in COVID deaths in the Union Territory especially in Jammu region which accounted for 39 casualties today in a total of 56 while 3614 persons tested positive, 1496 of them in Jammu.
Out of 39 Corona casualties in Jammu region, 31 were reported in Jammu district, two each Udhampur, Kathua and Rajouri and one each in Samba and Reasi districts. Seventeen of the dead were women. Four persons succumbed to the virus at home and were later shifted to hospital.
A 93-year-old man from Anand Nagar Talab Tillo, 70-year-old from Rajpura Mangotrian, 62-year-old from Subash Nagar and 46-year-old from Canal Road, all in Jammu district, died of Coronavirus at home.

Jammu, May 8 : An additional triage centre for Covid patients has been set up at the Government Gandhi Nagar Hospital for regulating the admission of Covid patients in Jammu district, officials said on Saturday.
The first Covid-19 triage facility was established at the Chest Diseases Hospital in Jammu as the first contact point for screening of any Covid positive patient intending to get admitted to the designated Covid hospitals in the district. Now, in view of the recent surge in Covid-19 cases and to ensure facilitation of such patients, an additional triage centre is hereby ordered to be established at the Government Hospital, Gandhi Nagar (Old Block), Jammu, wherein Covid-19 patients shall be assessed by the designated teams of health professionals, an order issued by Divisional Comm
