CM approves development schemes

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has approved development projects including expansion of Rehmat ul Lil Alameen (PBUH) scholarships to colleges and universities.
In this regard, the cabinet standing committee for finance and development met under the chair of Punjab Finance Minister Hashim Jawan Bakht and approved funds for the schemes, said a statement issued on Friday. The meeting decided to expand the scope of Rehmatul Lil Alameen (PBUH) scholarships to colleges and universities and approved the release of Rs477 million in the current fiscal year for students. Reportedly, during the next financial year, the scholarship amount will be increased to Rs834 million.
(MENAFN - Tribal News Network) KHAR: Plantation campaign was initiated in Bajaur tribal district on Friday under Plant for Pakistan campaign.
The plantation campaign was launched at District Headquarters Hospital Khar. Deputy Commissioner Fayyaz Sherpao formally inaugurated the campaign by planting a sapling in the lawn of the hospital.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Zameen Khan Momand, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance and Planning) Sohail Aziz, Assistant Commissioner Nawagai Habibullah Wazir, District Forest Officer (DFO) Inamullah Dawar and Medical Superintendent Dr Wazir Khan Safi also participated in the campaign by planting saplings.
Speaking on the occasion, the deputy commissioner urged the people to grow more trees to improve the environment and mitigate the impact of climate change.

The 19-year-old, formerly known as Hira Usman, now goes by the name Hassan Shah.Â
The offspring of late Dr Usman Shah in Nowshera Kalan, Hassan was born with an intersex condition and has completed his transition. He was studying political science at Government Girls Degree College, Nowshera.
He is now transferring to the Postgraduate College for boys.Â

NOWSHERA: Hassan Shah and his family are over the moon after the teenager followed experts advice and transitioned into the male gender, becoming eligible to join an all-boys school.
Assigned female at birth, or AFAB, the 19-year-old college student with an intersex condition was formerly known as Hira Usman. Known as sequential hermaphroditism in science, his condition is a protogynous one or female-to-male sex change.
A promising student, Hassan Shah would now be given admission at a boys college.
