Bolivia arrests two ex-soldiers who bought repressive weapons
La Paz, May 27 (Prensa Latina) Bolivian agents on Wednesday arrested the ex-soldiers Daniel Leonardo Paredes, brother-in-law of former government minister Arturo Murillo and Daniel Bellot, former police agent, deeply involved in purchasing tear gas and other means for repressing protesters after the November 2019 coup. Paredes was detained in Cochabamba as he draw out some money and valuables from a bank, precisely in the name of Murillo, the Deputy Interior Minister Emilio Rodas explained.
That was the fourth attempt to draw out some cash from a country´s private bank, which aroused suspicions, Rodas said.
