The limestone required for the restoration had to be brought in from Jodhpur since the experts were unhappy with the locally available counterpart, which they felt would not be suitable for the structure, dating back to the 19th century
MYSURU: Limestone from Rajasthan will be placed with dexterity by workers from Jharkhand as restoration of the building housing the Government College Ayurveda Medicine in Mysuru. Work on renovation of the structure got under way in August and is expected to be completed by August next. Civil contractor P Ashok Kumar, who has been supervising the project, said that the building was being restored in a manner wherein the integrity of the original structure would not be compromised.
