KANSAS CITY, Mo. â Missouri will soon move into Phase 2 of its COVID-19 vaccination plan, according to Gov. Mike Parson.
The governor said in a tweet Sunday night that the stateâs vaccine supply âcontinues to increaseâ on a weekly basis.
âWe are well ahead of schedule and look to be on track to activate Phase 2 within the next couple of weeks,â Parson said.

Missouri to receive grant funding for workforce development

KANSAS CITY, Mo. â Missouri is one of nine states that will receive up to $100,000 in grant funding to aid the economy in its COVID-19 pandemic recovery efforts, according to the state Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development.
Gov. Mike Parson said in a news release that Missouriâs inclusion in the Workforce Innovation Network will build on efforts to âstrengthen workforce development and prepare Missouri job seekers for the jobs of tomorrow.â
The stateâs application focused on developing a plan to âincrease job-seeker engagementâ in workforce development programs by 60% in four years.
Kansas City, Missouri, Mayor Quinton Lucas has called on the Federal Emergency Management Agency to hold COVID-19 mass vaccination events in the city, as Gov. Mike Parson again named Arrowhead Stadium as a possible site for such events.
