The Federal Executive Council (FEC), on Wednesday, approved contracts worth N44.5 billion for various projects under the ministries of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Works and Housing, and Power.
Ministers of the respective ministries briefed correspondents at the end of the meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa, Abuja on Wednesday.
Speaking on the projects in the FCT, the minister, Mohammed Bello, said the council approved contracts for water treatment projects and roads within the territory, to the tune N31,630,221,349.

Bayelsa State government has assured the people of fair distribution of development projects to give all the three senatorial districts a sense of belonging in the scheme of things.
The Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo made this known on Tuesday at a meeting with representatives of Egbemo-Angalabiri Community of Ekeremor Local Government Area in Yenagoa.
He noted that the prosperity administration is desirous of building on the achievements of the immediate past government in the area of infrastructural development.
According to him, agriculture, infrastructural development, entrepreneurship and youth development are the focal areas through which the current government intends to drive its prosperity agenda.
