EMPTY shop windows in a town centre have been transformed with festive scenes - as part of a Christmas window trail competition launched to spread cheer. Dorchester Town Council and Dorchester Chamber for Business have partnered with property agents and landlords of local shops to create the 12 Days of Christmas window trail competition. Thousands of people of all ages from the community have created ‘pop up’ Christmas displays in some of the town s currently empty shops - and shoppers are now being urged to complete the trail for the chance of winning a prize. Emma Scott, Community Development Officer at Dorchester Town Council, said: “I have been very touched by how the whole town has pulled together including the agents and shop owners, the local business who have sponsored and supported us in so many ways, and of course the local groups and schools who put in such a phenomenal effort to decorate the windows.
