Drivers advised to avoid Goudhurst Road, Marden, while firefighters deal with fuel spillage  |  A village road remains closed this evening after a large fuel spillage. Firefighters were called to Goudhurst Road, Marden, near Maidstone, at about 4pm today. Firefighters were called to a fuel spillage in Goudhurst Road, Marden The road has been shut near the junction with Plain Road and as of 8.30pm it remained closed off. A fire service spokesman said firefighters were called to the spill and one fire engine had been sent, with drivers advised to avoid the area. At 8.35pm, they added: Goudhurst Road remains closed following a fuel spill, and duty of care has been handed to Kent Highways.
