Shall we start with a few stray elements of backstory? Back in 1999, the character of Cassandra Cain appeared in the Batman comics. The daughter of a notoriousassassin, she d been trained from birth as a killer. She was not taught to read or write and could barely speak. Instead, she was trained to read body language and movements, which made her an uncommonly powerful martial artist, since it was easy for her read what an opponent was about to do from the way they moved. As a child, her father took her to kill a businessman, but the experience unnerved her when she read what he was feeling as he died, and she fled from her father. Eventually, she became the new Batgirl.
