AMARAVATI: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy stated that the government took responsibility in providing welfare schemes for all sections despite the looming pandemic conditions and stood by the public welfare.
During the motion of thanks to the Governor s address, the Chief Minister reiterated his commitment to transparent, accountable and corruption-free governance and said that the manifesto is like a Holy Book and added that his government has fulfilled over 95 percent of its promises, taking welfare to the doorstep of the beneficiary with no corruption or discrimination. He stated that in the last 23 months the State government had directly credited Rs 93,708 crore in to the beneficiaries accounts and indirectly spent over Rs 31,714 crore on schemes of sampoorna poshana, free power to farmers, Goru Muddha and many more, totalling to Rs 1.25 lakh crores.

VIJAYAWADA: The state government, asserting that SSC and Intermediate examinations were crucial for students, has decided to conduct them amidst strict corona protocol.
Stating that poverty should not deprive a child from pursuing higher education, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday credited Rs 1,048.94 crore into the accounts of mothers of 10,89,302 students under Jagananna Vasathi Deevena for the academic year 2020-21.

Amaravati: Asserting that poverty should not deprive a child from pursuing higher education, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Wednesday credited Rs 1048.94 crore into the accounts of mothers of 10,89,302 students under ‘Jagananna Vasathi Deevena’ welfare scheme for the academic year 2020-21.
Speaking on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that only education has the power to change the world, eradicate poverty and backwardness of the society, which is why no child has to be deprived of getting educated. In order to provide quality education for the students and to ease the financial burden on parents, the government has come up with Vidya Deevena reimbursing the college fees and Vasathi Deevena for boarding and hostel fees to the students.
