gorman s book was not age appropriate for elementary students. but it was okay for middle school students. poppy? so, just to get this straight, they didn t clarify what part of the book of what amanda gorman wrote they had a problem with? that s right. so, we reached out to miami-dade public county schools asking for all of the documents related to the complaint as well as the work that was done by the committee members. we were told that information would be provided to us in due time. but it s unclear whether the committee members at any point were identified exactly the portion of the poem they took issue. we don t know what part they deemed was appropriate for x students in middle school but not age appropriate for students in elementary. that s so bizarre. they move it. its not clear what exactly it is
