One Person Airlifted After Rollover Gorman Crash On 5 Freeway
One person was trapped in their vehicle and airlifted from the I-5 Freeway after a Gorman crash Tuesday morning.
At approximately 9 a.m. Tuesday, a call went out for one person trapped in their vehicle due to a rollover crash on the 5 Freeway near Quail Lake in Gorman, according to Leslie Lua, spokesperson with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“One person was extricated from the vehicle with moderate injuries and airlifted to a local hospital,” Lua said.
All lanes of the 5 Freeway were temporarily blocked to allow emergency responders to land their helicopter and quickly airlift the victim, according to California Highway Patrol incident logs.
“Two patients were extricated,” Peters said. “Two patients are being taken by air to (a nearby hospital).”
Air Rescue 5 from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department was requested to the scene due to the north county L.A. County Fire helicopter being on another call, according to Fire officials.
The conditions of the victims are unknown as of Thursday.
