A POP-UP music shop will be selling CDs for a good cause over the coming weekend. Clocktower Music will be hosting the four day sale from the site of the soon to arrive Clocktower Too store, located next to Electric Palace on South Street. The sale will take place from 10am until 5pm on Friday, July 2 and Monday, July 5, from 9.30am until 3.30pm on Saturday, July 3 and from 10am until 3pm on Sunday, July 4. Thousands of CDs will be available to purchase along with a number of 45rpm vinyl singles in a variety of genres - all donated by Bridport residents.
CLOSE TO £1,000 has been raised for Bridport s indoor skate park through the sale of unwanted CDs. Clocktower Music decided to support the 2020 Skate and Ride in March 2020, putting a call out for residents to donate unwanted CDs to sell. Customers were asked to donate their CD collections which Clocktower would then sell in the shop at 10 for £5. A spokesman for Clocktower Music said: We put out a call for your unwanted CDs back in March last year, and you didn t disappoint. Sales of those donated CDs from Clocktower Music, along with other fundraisers like the signed Primal Scream record auction raised nearly £1,000.

A ROAD on the outskirts of Bridport is set to close for overnight repair works this week - with a 43 mile official diversion route in place. Sections of the two roads leading up to the Gore Cross roundabout in Bradpole will be closed - this includes Corbin Way and Beaminster Road. The road will be closed to enable Dorset Highways to carry out surfacing works on all arms of Gore Cross roundabout, A3066 and Corbin Way. The road closure will come into place from 8pm on Friday (April 23) and will remain in force for five days. However, it is anticipated works will be completed by Saturday, April 24.
