I cant remember when i first saw the picture, and i certainly did not know where cold harbor was at the time. Im sure i thought it was a port town somewhere in virginia. I may not remember in which book i first saw the photograph, but i know that immediately and lastingly linked the words cold harbor and death in my mind. In subsequent years, i came to read more about the events of the spring of 1864 that culminated at cold harbor, that deadly slog from the rapid ann to the james that saw the u. S. Our correspondent ana cabrera is joining us from Columbia South carolina, the state capital. Ana, you were there for the protest today. Is there a sense that the lawmakers are now listening to the calls to remove the flag and that that will happen any time soon . Well we do understand they plan to introduce legislation as they get back together here within the next few minutes in order to call this issue of removing the flag as part of this sessions agenda. Now, they have to add some specific amendments to the current agenda in order to do that. Were understanding that the most likely scenario to play out is that they will vote on adding that legislation. That is likely to pass. Still takes twothirds majority though, to add that to this years session. And then they would likely later set up a time to come back this summer in the days
