My dad was in the civil service, my mom was a nurse. My dad was able to insinuate himself to get posted to the Canadian High Commission to the sri lankan High Commission in canada. We were 61 myself, my sister and myself broke out. My dad was a communist organizer. There was huge pushback. There was a lot of pressure on my father to a point where we just couldnt reasonably return to sri lanka without his life for our life not being in some shortage of pretty.
