City council has approved a plan that will see a dedicated spot on the South Saskatchewan River where people will be able to spread the ashes of their loved ones.
The Hindu Society of Saskatchewan approached the city in April about the location.

A framework for the rules surrounding the scattering of ashes will be created before a dedicated location is chosen.
