The figure is close to the primary target of 2 lakh vaccinations in Indore. On Tuesday, 47,554 eligible students received the jab in the Indore district. The vaccination drive went on at a slower pace at a few private schools. Only 50 students in one school were vaxxed as opposed to 150 students
Regarding the new variant Omicron of corona, the Madhya Pradesh government had issued a guideline to continue with 50% capacity and online classes in the school.
A proposal to open the school at full capacity has been sent to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. School Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar is also in favour of the opening of schools with full strength.
In the proposal, it was recommended to open all the schools soon, but due to the main three points, orders could not be issued on Sunday.
