BHOPAL: The four Remdesivir injections seized by crime branch were found to be produced by a Bangladesh pharmaceutical company. Four accused were held trying to sell the life-saving injection in black for as high as Rs 20,000 each.
Police were now trying to verify whether the sale of the seized injections was permitted in India or whether it was internationally black marketed. ASP Gopal Singh Dhakad said, a kin of a patient alerted police that the accused Shami Khan is offering to sell them Remdesivir injections for Rs 14,000 per injection. The police laid a trap and arrested four accused involved in the black marketing. It was found that they were selling the drug between Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000.
