Google was fined 15 million roubles ($164,000) on Tuesday for repeated refusal to store Russian users' data on servers inside Russia, a Moscow court said.

Several companies including Matrimony.com, Shaadi.com, Unacademy, Kuku FM and TrulyMadly had earlier approached the high court, challenging Googles notice asking them to either adopt the companys mandated billing route or risk being removed from its Play Store.
