In Pakistan, a small percentage of women get a chance to attain higher education, and among them, even fewer pursue studies in traditionally male-dominated fields like information and technology. Even after graduation, only a handful of Pakistani women opt for a full-time career in the field.
Sakina Abbas, 25, from Karachi, is one of the few women who defied the norms and studied computer sciences at a private university, graduating with a degree in the discipline in 2019.

An AI researcher and pop musician has become the third Vietnamese to be recognized as a Google Developer Expert in Machine Learning.
Nguyen Hoang Bao Dai, 27, a scientist based in HCMC, is a musician who is quite keen on applying machine learning techniques to enhance his own pieces, reads a Google Developers Experts (GDE) Program expert directory entry. He is the author of the music generation model which can generate Vietnamese pop songs.
