A Latrobe councilman and the patriarch of a city family involved in an ongoing dispute with the local fire department and its chief were arrested Tuesday by Westmoreland County detectives. Councilman Robert S. Forish, 58, and Fabian Giovannagelo, 65, were arraigned on charges of theft, theft by deception and misapplication of entrusted property in 2020. They are accused of using department funds to pay for a federal lawsuit they filed against the fire company, Chief John Brasile, President Charles McDowell Jr., Latrobe Mayor Rosie Wolford and the city.

Daniel Santiago (Bucks County District Attorney s Office) Select Source BRISTOL, Pa. - Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a hit-and-run-driver who struck and killed a volunteer firefighter in Bristol Township.  It happened on the 5500 block of Bristol Pike in Bristol Township on June 29 around 1 a.m. Daniel Santiago, 53, a Bristol Borough resident, was riding his bicycle on the right lane of the southbound side of Bristol Pike when he was struck.  Any involved vehicle likely has front-end damage.
