The news of an unidentified Fulani herder who attacked an 18-year-old boy, Kohgi Nation, in Osuan bush of Otuoke Community in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, inflicting injuries on him that took doctors four hours to treat, has sparked off a social media campaign tagged “Operation chase headsmen out of Bayelsa”.
The victim was attacked with a machete, inflicting deep cuts on his fingers and head, over claims that he stole a cow belonging to the yet-to-be identified herdsman. As if that was not enough, the blood thirsty unidentified herdsman also alledgedlly attacked the 58 years old father of the boy, Goodhead Nation, who was present when the attack on his son took place but managed to escape the attack with minor bruises on the left hand.

Recall that governor Uzodinma was said to have ordered Okorocha’s arrest for unsealing Royal Palm Estate.
The South-east governors in a statement signed by their chairman and Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief David Umahi, assured the two political leaders of Imo State- Uzodinma and Okorocha of their preparedness to settle the disputes internally, instead of washing their dirty linen in the public.
The statement, which was forwarded to DAILY POST by the Special Adviser to governor Umahi on Media, Francis Nwaze reads in part: “The South-east Governors’ Forum sues for peace between governor Hope Uzodimma and former governor of Imo State Rochas Okorocha.

A 58-year-old farmer from Otuoke Community, in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Mr. Goodhead Nation, has revealed how he and his 18-year-old son escaped death from a deadly attack by an unidentified Fulani herder.
The attack, which reportedly happened on Friday evening, and currently generating tension in Yenagoa, the state capital, almost left the 18-year-old boy simply identified as Samuel dead.
DAILY POST gathered that the victim, Samuel Nation, who was attacked with a machete, inflicting grievous injuries on his fingers and head over an allegation of a missing cow, underwent four hours of surgery at the emergency ward of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC).
