Assemblyman Andrew Goodell wants the state Assembly’s Judiciary Committee to investigate how the state court system has operated during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Goodell, R-Jamestown, voted against the Judiciary Budget earlier this week even though the budget was the same for 2021-22 as it was in 2020-21.
“However, I have been extraordinarily frustrated, as many of us have been, on the lack of activity the judiciary has had in the last year,” Goodell said. “As a legislative body we have the responsibility to maintain a review even on other branches of government. So I would urge the Judiciary Committee, when they’re done investigating the executive branch to take a look at the judiciary.”
