At 11:40 a.m., crew members called the Coast Guard, which quickly called for assistance from other agencies, including the Long Beach fire and police departments.
“The crew noticed this morning that one of the passengers was missing and hadn’t been seen since last night,” said Gonzalo Medina, marine safety chief of the Long Beach Fire Department.
The missing person is a 35-year-old Asian man who was last seen wearing a red sweatshirt and black sweatpants, according to authorities. The man was a crew member aboard the Sea Queen II, which is currently anchored between Sunset Beach and Seal Beach.
