Good morning, im Marci Gonzalez in for diana perez. Im john muller. We begin with breaking news from indiana. Police in elkhart say a gunman walked into a Martins Grocery store. Two were killed. One an employee, another a customer in her 40s. The suspect was pointing his gun at a second employee. They shot the gunman dead. Now trying to figure out what led to the shooting. Its a huge crime scene. The area where the shootings happened in the store are basically from one end of the store to the next. There were several, several rounds fired in there. Both from police and from the suspect. And police say they dont know if the gunman knew any of his victims. They say he was about 20 years old and lived in the neighborhood. Our other major story is the latest scandal involving the Nations Nuclear forces. More than three dozen launch officers have been relieved of duty for cheating on a test or covering it up. Round one buried the northeast in several inches of snow, stranding thousands of travelers, and this is just the beginning. 160 Million People are in the path of two more storms. It is a mess again from the midwest to the northeast. This morning, half of the country is preparing for a week of snow, ice and rain. Right now, 25 states are under winter watches or warnings, but some are taking the snow masses in stride like this shopkeeper in stroudsburg, pennsylvania. Dozens of states are feeling those effects. But this storm is a bit different than previous systems this winter. Ice is the biggest concern. We get more now from abcs tahman bradley. Reporter it just wont end. Another winter storm, the second one this week, is blasting more than two dozen states. Its dumping a mix of heavy snow and freezing rain on more than 160 million americans. Im ready for it to end a little bit, so it seems like its been a lot. We begin with mother natures latest blow. Thats right. A rare winter storm has caught the south off guard. Up to two feet of snow in some areas. Bitter cold and ice here stranding vehicles in williamsville, alabama. It is a storm that would have been business as usual here in the north, but it paralyzed the deep south clogging highways, stranding students at schools overnight, even triggering a National Guard rescue. The storm stretches a thousand miles from mobile to maryland, so far triggering thousands of Flight Cancellations and hundreds of traffic accidents that have killed at least two people.
