Freshman Carolina Gomez Alonso was selected as the ITA Central Region Rookie of the Year, announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Tuesday. Gomez Alonso becomes the third Razorback in program history to earn the ITA Regional Rookie of the Year award.

The No. 42 Arkansas women’s tennis team is set to take on the No. 21 Washington Huskies in the NCAA Tournament Round of 64 at the Norman Regional. The Razorbacks and Huskies will face off on Friday, May 5 at Noon CT at the Headington Family Tennis Center to earn their spot in the regional final.
