KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 1 The country’s defence system and government websites are safe from any cyber threats thus far, said Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
Ismail Sabri said this when asked to comment on the threat of the hacker group ‘Anonymous Malaysia’ which last week issued a warning that it would launch cyber-attack on the country’s defence system as well as government websites.

As Covid-19 cases continue to surge, the government will not impose a strict lockdown and restrict economic activities like the first movement control order (MCO) last year to avoid causing further financial difficulties among the lower-income groups, said Senior Minister (Defence) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
Speaking during a press conference after inspecting a police roadblock in Kuala Lumpur today, he explained that although MCO 2.0 is more relaxed than the previous one, it was still causing significant damage to the local economy.

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 1 Authorities will adopt an uncompromising approach when policing for violations of Covid-19 standard operating procedures beginning Thursday, Senior Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said today.
Ismail also said authorities have not overstepped in their enforcement of the SOPs, adding that the police would not need to take action if there were no breaches.
