Cincinnati weather: Waves of showers will bring possible torrential rain, flooding Sarah Brookbank, Cincinnati Enquirer

Rain is sticking around in Greater Cincinnati.
Expect periods of showers and thunderstorms Wednesday, with brief heavy rainfall. The National Weather Service said localized flooding is possible. Recurring waves of showers with embedded thunder and torrential rain will cause day long elevated, but localized flood risk, the National Weather Service said.
Most locations will see between 0.5 to 1 inch of rain, but some could see 2 or more inches. Will not be surprised that a flash flood warning or two will be required at some point today under a particularly persistent shower or storm. However, there is much uncertainty remaining with the location of highest potential and the coverage of the storms, the National Weather Service said.
