A labourer from Myanmar was caught hiding in a police officer’s home after making off with 150,000 baht worth of gold jewellery from a shop in Bang Bon district of Bangkok on Saturday, police said.
According to the police, the matter surfaced when a Mangalore-based business approached them claiming to have lost gold during a consignment, that was supposed to reach Mumbai's Zaveri Bazaar
The weight of the bangles is about 65 grams and their cost is Rs 3.50 lakh. At around 8 pm, the two women reached Shriram Jewellers, located at 31, Shanku Marg.
