Ralph Mitchell was a familiar sight in Lodi, his home for 60 years. Particularly on the corner of Garibaldi Avenue and Main Street, where he was a beloved crossing guard for almost 25 years. He loved being a crossing guard. He loved all the kids, he loved the parents, and they all loved him, his daughter Denise Pepe said. They would get him gifts every holiday, every Christmas. He was just a good guy.
