Here are a few items from the January newspapers of 1929 – I wonder if they were having as much fun as we are.
Well, the answer to that facetious question is nope. The front page of the Jan. 17th Porcupine Advance features, no less, a fire that swallowed up a good chunk of the downtown, the catastrophic collapse of our junior hockey team (10-1 loss to Kirkland Lake) and this little piece featuring Coun. Alfred Caron.

N.W.T. RCMP asking for public s help in 30-year-old cold case
Police are asking for any information about Mary Rose Keadjuk who went missing in Yellowknife in 1990 when she was 24. Her remains were found in 2003 and confirmed in 2018.

The investigation into the 1990 disappearance of Mary Rose Keadjuk is ongoing and N.W.T. RCMP are asking anyone with information about her to contact them.(NT RCMP)
