People are taking these on because they think of themselves of living in a surveillance society. It causes the government to take on more and more sfwrusive surveillance techniques. In the absence of reform, i dont think this is going to be a helpful cycle for anybody involved. If i may, and this gets to the issue ultimately of trusting governmental institutions. That is one of the reasons we are seeing this explosion of this kind of technology, is that folks increasingly simply dont trust the ferguson with respect to their personal privacy, data and all the rest of these things.
