KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) aspires that Malaysians adopt other facets of the digital technology, not just the frontline such as e-commerce, but also digitisation of the business processes and all the innovation that come thereafter. Maxis’ chief executive officer Gokhan Ogut said the pandemic has levelled the field for people from all walks of life and everyone can identify with the universal dependence on technology to connect with one another. KUALA LUMPUR: Maxis has delivered 100% of its own 2020 targets for Jalinan Digital Negara (Jendela) and accelerated capacity with upgrades of more than 35% of the total upgrades of 16,367 sites by the industry. For 2021, Maxis will remain focused on optimising its network in anticipation of the continuing surge in Internet traffic, it said in a statement on Thursday. So far, the company has built more than 150 new sites and completed upgrades at more than 5,500 sites in key market centres in both Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah and Sarawak.
