The star of former Kaizer Chiefs defender Teenage Hadebe is shining in Europe where he was amongst the goals again this past weekend.
After scoring the winner against Alanyaspor three weeks ago, Hadebe had his name on the scoring charts again over the past weekend in a 4-0 demolition of Caykur Rizespor as his club Yeni Malatyaspor secured their stay in the Turkish Super Lig for yet another season.
The latest goal by the Zimbabwean international came after he capitalised on horrible blunder by Rizespor keeper Gokhan Akkan to then direct the ball into the nets with a simple header.
Besiktas started the encounter brightly and opened the scoring only 16 minutes into the encounter following a fine combination from the African stars.
Ghezzal sent a brilliant pass to N Koudou, who then fired home his effort, leaving goalkeeper Gokhan Akkan with no chance.
Gokhan Tore doubled the lead in the 57th minute after a timely assist from Welinton, Ghezzal then got a goal of his own with 15 minutes left to play to hand his side a 3-0 lead.
Rizespor then attempted a comeback when Ismail Koybasi reduced the deficit in the 87th minute with a fine individual goal.
Moments before the end of the game, Damjan Djokovic scored but the effort was not enough to save Bulent Uygun’s men from defeat as Besiktas held on to their lead to secure all three points.
In the keenly contested encounter, the first half ended goalless despite the hosts dominating ball possession.
Bulent Uygun’s men came out stronger in the second half, albeit, it was Goztepe who took the lead in the 56th minute through Halil Akbunar.
Following a poor clearance from Fabricio Baiano, the Turkish midfielder slotted the ball past goalkeeper Gokhan Akkan.
12 minutes to full time, Ndiaye doubled the advantage for Unal Karaman’s side – with the visiting side getting punished for another defensive calamity.
Rizespor’s ambition of getting at least a goal suffered a big blow as Akkan was given his marching orders for dangerous play.
