Reinstate ITIR In Hyderabad: KTR Writes To Ravi Shankar Prasad Jan 08, 2021, 10:35 IST Minister KTR wrote a letter to Union IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad requesting to reinstate ITIR in Hyderabad. In the letter, Minister KTR said that the then Union government in 2008 had designed a new project called Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) project in order to promote greater IT investments in the country. The project was initially sanctioned in 2010 for the two cities of Hyderabad and Bangalore, and later on a few other cities were added. As per the requirement of the project guidelines, 49,000 acres of land in 3 clusters (both brownfield and greenfield) were identified in Hyderabad where new IT companies and IT space developers could be encouraged to set up their development centres.

Finance Minister takes stock of MSME dues Finance Minister takes stock of MSME dues NEW DELHI: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday reviewed the situation about outstanding payments to micro, small and medium enterprises, especially by CPSEs and central government agencies. Top officials including Secretary in the Department of Financial Services Debasish Panda, MSME Secretary A K Sharma, among others, were present in the meeting. As part of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat package announced in May this year, MSME dues from central government agencies and Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) should have been paid in 45 days. “Since the month of May 2020, regular follow-up and concerted efforts have been made by Government of India, particularly by the MSME Ministry for payment of these dues. Particular focus was placed on CPSEs and central government agencies for payment of dues to MSMEs,” an official statement said.
