Lawyer Tania Scivetti representing Najib said based on the affidavits of Senior Assistant Commissioner R. Rajagopal and Superintendent Foo Wei Min regarding the alleged money trail involving funds going out of 1MDB into the Pekan MP account, there was no documentary evidence that the money flowed into his account due to his (Najib) instruction.

Transactions had nothing to do with 1MDB, court hears

KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court was told that 13 banking transactions involving the accounts of Goldman Sachs banker Roger Ng and his wife had no link to 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB). Lawyer Datuk Tan Hock Chuan, who represented Ng and his wife Lim Hwee Bin, said the monies that flowed into the bank accounts did not come from 1MDB and that there were bank documents to prove it. He was submitting at the hearing of the government’s 1MDB-linked forfeiture suit against Ng, Lim and 16 others, including former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and members of his family.
