Walls Of Fame is a Wonderwall series that highlights murals all over Singapore that bring our neighborhoods to life, as well as the stories behind the art and the artists (s).
The series began with a look at the work of Yip Yew Chong, Singapore’s most prolific muralist, and in particular the murals in Chinatown. Now, the Wall of Fame series plans to take visitors on a tour of Little India, where the vibrant murals are only balanced by the area’s culture.
Working Class Hero is a mural by Mohammed Zulkarnean Bin Othman alias Zero, one of Singapore’s street art pioneers. It is a portrait of the famous Tamil film star Rajinikanth, and it is common among residents and visitors to Little India. This mural was created by Zero as a tribute to the migrant workers who live in the area.
