May 12 Vincent van Gogh is coming to Kansas City. A national touring installment called "Immersive Van Gogh," featuring large-scale projections of works by the Dutch master, will land here Dec. 1-Feb. 6. Tickets already are being sold ($40 and up at kansascityvangogh.com), but there is a catch. The venue is a secret. Lighthouse Immersive, which is bringing the installation to the United States .

Birmingham Hippodrome has announced its grand reopening plans following months of enforced closure due to the national lockdown.
Following the success of hosting the UK premiere of Van Gogh Alive in October, the experience will reopen on May 25.

Tickets went on sale Tuesday morning for Van Gogh Alive, a multi-sensory touring event that will make a stop in Aurora from July 9 through Sept. 26.
The Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) is sponsoring the event at The Hanger at Stanley Marketplace in Aurora. It will be the DCPA s first in-person event of 2021.
Tickets start at $35 and went on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday and are available for purchase at denvercenter.org.

Van Gogh Alive bills itself as no ordinary art exhibition , instead offering visitors a multi-sensory experience that weaves together light, colour, sound and even fragrance to help bring the Post-Impressionist artists masterpieces to life.
Creator Bruce Peterson dreamed up the concept after several failed visits to European art galleries and museums, in which his children would become bored, tugging on his sleeve and begging for a gelato just as he was becoming engaged in some of history s finest works of art.
Peterson made it his mission to develop an art appreciation environment that could hold the shortest of attention spans and turn the frame on the wall into a portal of exploration into another world.
