Tally-Ho Stud resident and Qipco 2,000 Guineas winner Galileo Gold is the latest first-season sire to be represented by his first runner, in his case in the form of Robbie Roger at Southwell on Sunday.
The George Boughey-trained colt was bred by Tally-Ho and is the fourth foal of out of the Medicean mare Mediska - herself a half-sister to the Listed-winning Lightscameraction.
Owned by Amo Racing, the juvenile is a half-brother to three-time winner Inviolable Spirit. Robbie Roger was withdrawn from the Goffs UK Breeze-Up Sale later this month.
Galileo Gold, who was bred by Brian O Rourke and was a €33,000 purchase by Amanda Skiffington from Donnellys Well at the Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale, was a triple winner at two, including in the Vintage Stakes at Goodwood, and rounded off his campaign with a third in the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere.
