The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame revealed which of this year’s nominees would be inducted at the ceremony on Oct. 30 in Cleveland, Ohio, on Wednesday morning.
Veteran alt-rockers Foo Fighters, pioneers of the new wave movement The Go- Go’s, East Coast hip-hop legend Jay-Z, Carole King, mercurial rock savant Todd Rundgren, and Queen of Rock n’ Roll Tina Turner are among the Class of 2021.
Turner, King, and Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters are already Rock Hall inductees for 2021: King was inducted into the Rock Hall as a singer and non-performer as part of the songwriting duo Goffin/King; Turner for her explosive work in the R&B duo Ike & Tina Turner; and Grohl as the drummer of grunge pioneers Nirvana.
