That run through your book. Number one, is empathy. Why is that a theme of your book . Guest i found as astudied the subject, which ive been doing for decades now, but really seriously for the last couple of years while i was writing the book i found that empathy kempt kept coming up more and more and i realized the thing its learn that seemed to be essential to good communication often boiled down to empathy. I didnt at first i wasnt crazy about that idea because i didnt trust the word empathy. Started to show up in our culture an awful lot a few years ago, couple of decades ago. And when i started to think about it, i thought, this sounds like a very soft, gooey, newagey emotion based thing that im not sure i believed what is being transmitted by that notion. And then the more i worked on it, the more i realized that for me my definition of empathy, the way i think about empathy, is not the way everybody thinks about it. Walnut street in downtown san jose said they heard a knocking on the door late this morning and the suspect was outside saying he wanted someone to take the baby. And ramirez said the suspect appeared to be on drugs and in no position to be caring for child. I knew that was not his baby and he stated to take the baby let me get out of here. I dont give a darn about him but i do about this baby. I had no clue it was a missing baby but i knew that it did not belong to him. Reporter ramirez convinced an area construction worker to take the baby until the Police Arrived and gutierrez stole a honda while the father of the baby was getting a bottle. He did not know that the 14 monthold was in the car seat in the back until he drove off and an amber alert was his as the suspect drove north to san jose.
