India s space economy has the potential to grow to USD 44 billion by 2033, with 8% of the global share, according to IN-SPACe Chairman Pawan Goenka. Currently, India s share in the global space economy is only 2%. The decadal vision and strategy for the Indian space economy, developed by IN-SPACe and ISRO, aims to foster collaboration between all stakeholders and increase private sector participation. The strategy focuses on demand generation, earth observation, communication, navigation, R&D, talent pool creation, access to finance, international collaboration, and policy and regulation.
Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), and Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe) jointly launched the catalogue that consists of 15 standards.
