The Brunei king in a royal speech said Brunei and Malaysia continue to maintain strong bilateral relations and believes this will grow stronger based on deep understanding, which is the result of a friendly relationship characterised by similar culture, language and religion.

His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in a titah said Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia continue to maintain strong bilateral relations and believes this will grow stronger based on deep understanding, which is the result of a friendly relationship characterised by similar culture, language and religion.
His Majesty said this in a titah during the Official Luncheon at Istana Nurul Iman hosted in honour of the two-day visit of Prime Minister of Malaysia Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and spouse Puan Sri Noorainee Abdul Rahman with their delegation.
