Mesquite will honor Martin Luther King, Jr. this weekend with a virtual observance.
A growing number of COVID-19 cases forced the cancelation of the annual parade through downtown. The city will instead air the observance on Facebook.
The event will feature remarks by church pastors and community leaders, dances, musical performances and monologues.
