Clay County Emergency Management and the Florida Department of Health in Clay County will close the vaccination site at 2463 SR 16 West on May 7 at 4:30 p.m.

Nancy and Andy Ignotowicz haven’t been able to visit their granddaughters since the pandemic brought travel to a halt last year. “We were a little hesitant at first, but I told her, ‘We got to do this,’” Andy said. “After we do this and finally get immune, we’ll be able to hug our grandchildren again!”

Clay Opens COVID Vaccine Appointments For Older Residents, Health Care Workers

Hear this story airing on WJCT News 89.9 Clay County announced on Tuesday it will be giving residents 65 and older and health care workers COVID-19 vaccines by appointment, starting Monday, Jan. 4. All appointments will be at the UF/IFAS Extension T. Jesse Godbold Building at 2463 S.R. 16 West in Green Cove Springs. Vaccination appointments will be available in 15-minute increments from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Clay County residents must have an appointment and show ID or proof of healthcare employment to receive the no-cost vaccination. Two vaccinations are required to obtain immunity to COVID-19. Recipients will need to schedule a second appointment at Alert.ClayCountyGov.com.
