The Strand’s “be seated” campaign is dedicated to the conservation of the historic theatre. Patrons may purchase a timeless engraved brass plate for armrests in any area of the theatre. The name on the plate may be that of the donor or of a loved one, couple, business, or to honor or memorialize someone.
The contribution amount is determined by the seat location and ranges from $200-$19,000 for an entire box, Hill said. Recognition will be on the seats for five years before being moved to a memory wall in The Strand lobby. Every dime of that is going back into the building, Hill said.
