you re anticipating? well, if they rule soon, then what it would mean is that texas challengers, the folks challenging the texas law, would go into federal trial court in texas, and then indeed the court of appeals, and say we want a stay of this law. we want it to not take effect until it is blessed by federal courts. and it s pretty hard to bless this law because it is a straight violation of roe versus wade. it would take a united states supreme court decision to really reinstate the law. and that s probably a year away. so i think the effect of today s decision is likely to be today s oral argument, if it s likely that texas loses, will be to say got to go to the lower courts, the lower courts will probably keep that law stayed so it can t go into effect. abortion services can resume in texas for approximately what would be the next year.
