the way he s described it, he hasn t ruled out running for office in egypt. he says if he has a mandate from the people to run, that he would go to seek elected office. and so what we are seeing unfold today is in the eyes of many a mandate for him to run. he and his supporters want to get these people out to show that he is a popular figure and he does have popularity for what he did over the course of the last several months. so there are those that are making the case this is his time to run. and he clearly has left that door open. but at the same time going forward the muslim brotherhood, their supporters and even the more hardline elements of his supporters are still very adamant about demanding that this coup be reversed and that supporters of the ousted president have the sole legitimacy because they were the only party elected into power. right in and out the country s divided and there s no clear cut forward. the military government insists it will continue with parliamentary
