he thinks the doctors are going at him for personal reasons because they have financial interests against him, and we will see how personal it really gets. he also keeps talking that this is about genetically altered or modified foods, right, but that s not all this is about? you hear hpl say, i will not be silenced and he is taking a position on a lot of foods, and some cases some of the foods are genetically fortified, and he said the doctors against him have ties to that gmo industry and that s why they are against him. other issues also came up. he says one of the messages you will hear i will not stop fighting for the right to know what is in your food. he wants to make it about the gmo issue. there has been other critiques
he s got a lot of shows. how many times are you going to come on and say lose weight, wear a helmet. is there any there there? you re making money and not disclosing it that would be the baseline charge. dr. oz tries to be on the up and up. you go to his website and see his trusted partners listed. that s an example of something some doctors wouldn t do to go that next step and have that relationship. you know seems to me like he s going to go on the offense here. he s been on the defense for several days. some of these doctors and physicians seem like they ve got sketchy pasts, pointing out connections and ties to the gmo industry. they seem to not like the fact that s interesting. the ten accusing him of quack medicine he s going to expose something this week about them maybe. at least some of the ten. that s what dr. oz s people are saying. some have these industry ties. they say they don t like dr. oz s stance on gmos.
more than 100 years ago and may have previously been best known for being one of the contributors of the chemicals of agent orange used by the pentagon to defoliate dense forests in vietnam and had disastrous health effects on those in contact with it. now monsanto not only produces pesticides designed to deliver a death blow to pests but also seeds designed to resist those lethal chemicals. now the company is under fire for these seeds which have been genetically modified and for their legislative muscle. in the past few days monsanto and biotech firms have defeated efforts to allow labeling for genetically modified products. and to strip away special protections for that industry. over the weekend, millions marched against monsanto. question how safe are you when you set sail on a titanic sized ship and why do these problems keep happening over and over, year after year? joining me now from pensacola, florida is john arthur eaves a maritime lawyer who has represented passengers from both the costa concordia and carnival triumph and has a trial for costa concordia in july. thanks for joining us. do you think royal caribbean handled things better than carnival? are we seeing some progress when it comes to these debacles at sea? there is no question they handled the situation after the fire better than carnival but the real problem is what caused the fire to begin in the first place? we know that is because basically just like you have a tuneup with your car this industry is not regulated, not controlled, and not responding to the insurance industry so that is a race to the bottom so that they just basically take the vessels, bring them into port, unload them with passengers, refuel, and restock
more government oversight and allow our investigative teams with the fbi and police forces in the u.s. to actually make sure these vessels are safe. obviously you are a trial attorney. you ve said filing lawsuits will raise the standards of cruise safety so they don t have to spend all this money giving it to passengers who sue. is your theory bearing out? are we seeing that result? well, i think we will see the result. our first trial of the costa concordia tragedy is july 23rd and we re asking for american values for the value of life of those passengers. i think once we see those values come in then you ll see the insurance industry respond and require this industry to enact and invest into safer regulations just like the airline industry is now. it s amazing. you see these incidents happen every three weeks there is another horrible incident and there is going to be some horrible disaster before someone
